Brand & Community Manager
South Melbourne, Australia (Hybrid — min. 3 days in office) · 5 days/week · Reports to Hilary, Founder
The short version
You own the brand. Content, communications, community, influencer, acquisition, retail activations — the lot. You're the person who turns Holme from a brand people love into a brand people can't stop talking about, then turns that noise into sales across D2C, retail and, before long, the US and UK.
This is a leadership team role. You'll build and lead the brand department — a Graphic Designer, an Editor and a Content, Digital & Social Channel Manager sit with you — and you'll work shoulder-to-shoulder with Hilary on messaging, brand hierarchy and every new product launch. It's hands-on. You'll be in the data on Monday and shooting content by Thursday.
What you'll own
- Brand, content, comms and community strategy — the whole story of how Holme shows up and grows.
- Influencer and community — find them, sign them, brief them, and build relationships that actually move product.
- Retail store activations — bring the brand to life in physical space and make launches land.
- International trade pitches — build and support the brand case as we push into the US and UK.
- Acquisition and repeat purchase — own the metrics that grow the customer base across D2C, retail and international.
- New product launches — partner with Hilary on messaging, hierarchy and go-to-market for every drop.
- The brand team — lead, set the standard, and get the best work out of designers and content support.
How you'll work
You'll commercially review the marketing numbers — the stats, the data, what's working and what's dead weight — and turn that into real action, week on week. Not quarterly reviews. Weekly moves that grow the channel.
- Hands-on with the tools: Shopify, Canva, AI tools, editing. You can build the asset, not just brief it.
- Strong assets to the table — including video. You know what good looks like and you can make it.
- Tight loop with Hilary on voice, hierarchy and the big calls.
- Test, read, react. Fast.
What you'll bring
- Proven experience scaling a brand — you've done growth, not just maintained it.
- A track record across multiple channels and ideally multiple markets.
- Beauty, lifestyle or consumer brand experience — you get this category and the customer.
- Real influencer and community chops, plus a feel for retail and international expansion.
- Commercial brain — you read data and turn it into decisions.
- Confident across Shopify, Canva, AI tools and video/editing.
- Leadership instinct — you can build a small, sharp team and lift everyone's work.
- Comfortable in a founder-led, fast-moving environment where you own the outcome.

Content, Digital & Social Channel Manager
South Melbourne, Australia (Hybrid — min. 3 days in office) · 5 days/week · Reports to the Brand & Community Manager
The short version
You're the engine room of Holme's content and the owner of our social channels. You build the strategy behind what we make, turn it into briefs and channel plans, and make sure it all actually gets made — whether that's Hilary on camera or an editor in the cut. Then you run it across our social and digital platforms day to day, posting, managing and growing. You think about the big picture and you execute it yourself.
This role scales brands. You'll drive content and social across trade activity, brand-building and community growth for Holme, working closely with the Brand & Community Manager and the Graphic Designer to keep the whole machine moving.
What you'll own
- Content strategy — the plan for what we make, why, and where it goes.
- Briefs and channel plans — built out clearly so content can be executed cleanly across every platform.
- Execution — through Hilary on camera and through your editor, with you steering the whole thing.
- Social channels — own the day-to-day: posting, scheduling, community management and channel growth.
- Trade, brand and community content — three jobs, one cohesive content engine.
- Platform management — keep our digital and social presence sharp, consistent and on-brand.
How you'll work
You're a maker as much as a planner. You can write the brief, shoot the content and post it. You move fast, you keep the plan tight, and you keep everything unmistakably Holme.
- Hands-on across content creation, editing, social posting and platform delivery.
- Comfortable directing talent (including the founder) and getting the best out of a shoot.
- On top of the social calendar — consistent cadence, quick reactions, real community engagement.
- Organised — you keep multiple channels and a content calendar on track.
- Reads what's working and adjusts quickly.
What you'll bring
- Proven experience growing and scaling brands — you've helped take something from small to serious.
- Delivery across multiple channels and markets.
- Beauty and/or lifestyle experience — you know this world and this customer.
- The ability to execute content yourself, not just manage it.
- Hands-on social channel management — you've run accounts and grown them.
- Clear strategic thinking across trade, brand-building and community growth.
- Confident with the tools — Shopify, Canva, AI tools, editing and video.
