Why I want to give you the benefit - not the bank.

I have some big feelings about this week.

The past few months have been… a lot. Building a business in a world not designed for women — let alone female founders — and trying to scale without selling your soul is no small thing. In beauty, growth comes with a unique challenge. To create the highest quality products with the best labs in the world, minimum orders are massive. So every new launch means investing heavily, before we see a positive impact financially (that’s a whole other chat!).

As we grow, expand the range, and work on what Holme can be — it requires more capital (money) than we generate day to day. And typically, that means one thing: investment or bank loans. I’ve been protective of Holme. For a long time, I’ve chosen not to bring in outside investment — wanting to build something as complete and considered as possible before taking that step.

But other funding? It’s not easy. Especially right now. High interest rates, short repayment terms — it’s a tough space for early-stage businesses, no matter how strong the product or vision is at Holme.

And yet… there is so much ahead.

Holme Skin. And something even bigger (we can’t wait to share).

So I asked myself — if we need to fund this next chapter, why would I give that margin away to a bank? Why wouldn’t I give it back to the people who built this with me?

From the very beginning, you’ve been here. Through the wins, launches, the challenges, the quiet moments and the big ones. What started as me holding the torch now feels so much bigger — a community that shows up, supports, and believes in what we’re building.

And I feel that, every single day.

So in this moment? It should include you.

Transparency has always been at the core of Holme. Not just in our products, but in how we build this brand. What it means to be an Australian, female-founded business — and what it really takes to grow.

We can’t do it without you. And honestly, I don't want to.

I can’t wait to see this community rally behind this next chapter, but most importantly how it benefits from all of our hard work.
