HILARY’S NOTES

After 20 years as a makeup artist, I’ve listened to what people truly wanted in an eyeshadow palette, knowing they were sick of having palettes they only used one shade of or one colour story, so I created ‘The One’ palette. The only eyeshadow palette you will ever need.

Eight creamy, high-pigmented shades, thoughtfully designed to invite you to create infinite looks. Designed around four versatile neutral mid-tone mattes which can be used by themselves or layered, the shades chosen represent Hilary's education of the impact of representing the colour families that have the most impact on your eyes: a soft brick red, terracotta orange, a sunlit brown beige and soft pink and two shimmer shades, one pale champagne for highlighting and one bronze, that layer beautifully and can be used to turn any of the mattes into the perfect shimmery shade. A pale beige matte brightener which you can use to soften and adjust the other shades down or to use alone to open up space on the eye, and dark chocolate brown matte sharder to add depth, create dimension and definition.

This palette links back to everything that I have taught in my Back to Basics Masterclass, and allows you to create multiple looks, customised to your eye shape and face.

So much thought and insight has contributed to the design, to be as functional as it is beautiful, ‘The One’ fits seamlessly into your routine and makeup bag. The soft rectangle design allows for maximum surface area of the pan, stacks neatly, travels easily and is ergonomically designed for ease of use, even for those with dexterity and grip.

For a long wearing impact prep the eyelid with the Holme Beauty Soft Set Eye Primer. Using a flat brush apply you main desired colour all over the lid with pressing motions. Then using a blending brush use the same pigment with a smaller amount of product and sweep though the crease in windscreen wiping motions, focusing on lifting above the outer crease of the eye. Apply shimmer to inner corner and brow to open up space and any depth of matte colour along the outer edge of the lash line for definition.
